Corfu International Airport "Ioannis Kapodistrias" (CFU) is an important regional Greek airport serving the island of Kerkyra (Corfu). It is located about 2 kilometers south of Corfu Town.
The airport serves both scheduled and holiday charter flights. It experiences a surge in air traffic during the European summer with arrivals peaking in July and August.
In 2024, Corfu Airport served just over 4 million passengers, 90% of which international.
Major Airlines - Aegean Airlines, Sky Express, Ryanair
Corfu airport is not a year-round hub for any airline but Ryanair effectively uses it as a base for operations during the high season.
Aegean Airlines and Sky Express provide most of the domestic connections, whereas Ryanair, EasyJet, and Wizz Air fly from numerous European cities.
During the summer season, additional charter airlines, such as TUI, operate flights to and from the airport.
Almost all arrivals come from Europe with just 2 other scheduled flights from the Middle East (Tel Aviv and Dubai).

Terminal Layout and Gates
Corfu Airport only has a single terminal that handles both arrivals and departures. The airport is quite compact, though the terminal can successfully manage a significant number of passengers during the summer. There are 28 check-in desks in total.
The 12 boarding gates are within a short walking distance from the central waiting area. Check-in procedures are generally efficient and you don’t need to arrive more than 2 hours before an international flight.
Wi-Fi
Free internet is available to all passengers in all areas of Corfu airport.
To connect, select “Fraport-Free” from the list of networks, then launch your browser to visit the welcome page and start browsing.
Dining Options
Corfu’s “Ioannis Kapodistrias” is a small airport and the options for food it offers are limited.
You can find a few cafes and fast food outlets both before or after security and Immigration. Some choices include:
Negroni Pizza for pizza.
Grain de blé for sandwiches (non-Schengen area).
So Very Greek! for gyros pitas.
Burger King for classic grilled burgers.
Quality is lackluster and the prices are inflated a lot. Given the limited options and the mediocre experience, combined with the fact that the airport is just 2 km away from Corfu Town, you are really best off eating in town before you go to the airport or bringing snacks for your journey.

Lounges
The only lounge at Corfu International Airport is the Goldair Handling Lounge in the non-Schengen area of the airport. As such, it’s only accessible to very few flights (mostly UK-bound flights) and most travelers cannot access it.
Once inside, the lounge offers comfy armchairs, complimentary refreshments, pleasant background music, and free wifi.
Transportation to and from Corfu Town
The airport is very near the island’s capital, Corfu Town - so near in fact that if you don’t have a lot of luggage, you can easily walk the 2-3 km to the Old Town.
Transport-wise, there is a convenient public bus (#15) that runs between the airport and Saroko Square in the city center. This bus runs every hour from 7:20 until 21:20 on weekdays but is way less frequent during the weekend. Single tickets cost 2 EUR, sold by the driver.
Taxis are readily available outside the terminal too. The ride to the city is around 10-15 minutes and costs 15-20 EUR.
Lastly, car rental services are available within the terminal, in the arrival area. Notable companies include SIXT and Hertz.
To get to smaller villages on the island, it’s most convenient to book a private transfer.

Parking
There is one unified parking area in front of Corfu Airport, suitable for both short-term and long-term stays.
The first 20 minutes are free. The first hour costs 5 EUR and additional hours increase the cost up to 12 EUR for the first 24 hours. Each additional day costs 6 EUR.
Hotels
The proximity of the city to the airport means it’s there isn’t a demand for airport hotels.
You’re best off booking a hotel in Corfu Town or one of the smaller villages along the coast.
