César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport (ACE) is located 5 kilometers southwest of Arrecife, the capital city of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is the primary gateway to the island and one of the 5 big airports for the Canaries. The airport handles both domestic and international flights within Europe. With over 8 million passengers yearly, it's one of Spain's most important transport hubs.
Major airlines at the airport – Binter Canarias and Ryanair
Lanzarote Airport is not any airline's hub but Ryanair and Binter Canarias offer the greatest amount of flights from it. Ryanair operates numerous flights to many European destinations, while Binter Canarias flies between the Canary Islands themselves.

Check-in process at ACE
Checking in at Lanzarote Airport can be done online, at a self-service kiosk located in the main departure area, or at a manned counter.
Online check-in is offered by most airlines these days. It opens 24-48 hours before departure.
If you opt to use a self-service kiosk and have bags to drop off, make sure to print a bag tag for them and proceed to a staffed counter. There, you may also check in but depending on which airline you fly with, you may have to pay extra fees.
Terminal Layout and Gates
Lanzarote Airport has two passenger terminals:
- Terminal 1: Handles international flights, including to Mainland Spain, and has 12 gates.
- Terminal 2: Dedicated to inter-island flights within the Canary Islands and has 3 gates.
The terminals are linked together, so you can easily move between the two without leaving the airport.

Dining options at the airport
Lanzarote Airport houses several dining establishments for many different tastes. Some of the popular ones include:
- Caffè di Fiore: Located on Level 0 of T1 and T2, this café offers a selection of tapas, rolls, and pastries. Flyers' favorite place to relax before a flight.
- Burger King: You can find the well-known burger chain in the departure area of Terminal 1.

Access is available to business class passengers and certain frequent flyer members but anyone can purchase a 4-hour pass. The lounge offers comfortable seating, various food options (including Kosher and Halal), free Wi-Fi, and entertainment in the form of a TV and digital newspapers.

Lanzarote is not a large island, yet you will still need some form of transport from the airport to your hotel. Conveniently, Lanzarote Airport offers several options:
- Bus: The airport is served by several bus routes. Route 22 (working days) and Route 23 (weekends) connect the airport to Arrecife. Routes 161 and 261 connect the airport to Playa Blanca. Bus stops are located outside the arrivals area, and tickets can be purchased on board. The tickets cost between 1.60 and 2.95 EUR depending on the distance.
Taxi: Always take a taxi from one of the ranks in front of either terminal. A ride to Arrecife typically takes about 10 minutes. Fares are metered, but it's a good idea to confirm the approximate cost before agreeing to a ride. A trip to Arrecife costs between 15 and 25 EUR.
Parking
Short-term parking is possible directly opposite the terminals. While there is no limit to how long you can park there, the area is intended for short stays to pick up or drop off passengers.
Long-term parking, on the other hand, is provided in the form of 2 parking lots - one close to each terminal. You don't have to pre-book but is advisable during peak season and you will get a discount too.
